I’ve been looking for days now on how I can place a folder outside of the web root of my site hosted on ipage.com can anybody tell me how to do this?

Hi there!
Have you tried contacting ipage’s support team and asking if this is possible and if so, how you can do it? The best bet would to be to ask them as they may have a specific system in place that differs to what other users have access to, so doing what works with one company may not work on another and you could actually do some damage if you do something wrong.
Among the web host I have used, iPage seems to be the most difficult to operate for me. But after I moved to another web host, it does not seem to bother me as with new hosting doing these things has become really simple for me.
