Ipage Hosting – Send them Credit card information to finish transaction?

I purchased a essential plan from ipage hosting service. My transaction however was suspended, i chatted with customer care and they sent me this mail.

Thank you for your recent purchase from IPAGE.

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. We have tightened our security measures for credit card processing. Unfortunately, this means sometimes legitimate credit cards get caught by one of our security checks. Hence, you were unable to activate your account. Please fax the following information to our Billing Department at 1-781-998-8340:

1. A copy of the front and back of the credit card used to make this purchase.
2. Your government issued photo ID.
3. Your phone number, so that we can call you in case there is anything else we need from you to complete this order or you can contact us at 1-877-472-4399.

Please reply to this email with the requested information, so that we can assist you further.

Now i am not comfortable sending them such sensitive information via email etc, and i havent done any international transactions so far.

I want to ask if this is safe and legit. And that if i should send the information.

-2)Do not supply anything and Not have an account
